NomNoms: Bay Cities Italian Deli (Los Angeles)

This is a little sandwich called The Godmother. It is made with genoa salami, mortadella, coppacola, ham, prosciutto, and provolone cheese. I got it with "the works" which includes mayonnaise, mustard, onions, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, Italian dressing & hot pepper salad. There was a little too much dressing, but it was very very yummy overall.

NomNoms: Mirabelle (Los Angeles)

Although I hate Mirabelle's location on the Sunset Strip, the food and service are very good. I doubt I will make a schlep back to the Strip to go here again, however. I wound up packing up most of the steak because I KNEW the souffle was going to be amazing!! The flat iron steak was actually very good the next day.

NomNoms: Cracker Barrel (Dallas)

I am hesitant to admit it, but Cracker Barrel has the best chicken and dumplings I've ever had. The dumplings are so thick without tasting doughy, so creamy. Normally when I order chicken and dumplings, I push the chicken to the side and eat all of the dumplings, but in this case, I ate everything! As for my sides, the macaroni and cheese were above average, while the green beans were very tasty. Cole slaw was bland, and whatever you do, do not eat the corn bread! Do not even taste them. It's not worth it. Eat all the biscuits you want though.

NomNoms: Mansion on Turtle Creek (Dallas)

The venue for my last lunch in Dallas is listed in Patricia Schultz's "1,000 Places to see Before You Die." Unfortunately, their menu was limited that day due to the construction of their new dining room.
